Equipment

  • 1 Deep skillet
  • 1 medium-sized pot
  • 1 Sharp Knife
  • 1 chopping Board

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2 pounds fresh white cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/5 teaspoon pepper
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 10.5 ounces noodles

Instructions
 

  • Slice the cabbage into strips and finely chop the onion.
  • Heat the oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle sugar over the oil and wait for it to melt.
  • Once the sugar turns a light brown, add the onion and stir.
  • Sauté the onion for about 5 minutes, then add the cabbage. Season with salt, pour 1/3 cup of water over it, and mix well.
  • Stir the cabbage occasionally, adding the remaining water as needed. Cook the cabbage for a total of 30 minutes, seasoning with pepper near the end.
  • In a separate pot, cook the noodles in lightly salted water. Drain and add them to the cabbage.
