- 1 tablespoon oil or a bit of pork fat
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 2.5 ounces bacon diced
- 10.5 ounces sauerkraut drained
- ½ cup water
- A pinch of black pepper
- ½ teaspoon smoked sweet paprika
Heat the oil in a deep skillet over medium heat and sauté the onion until translucent, about 1 minute.
