Ingredients
  

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract if vanilla sugar is unavailable
  • 3 apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 packet vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 2/3 cup milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) without fan.
  • Prepare a baking tray by greasing it with butter and dusting with flour.
  • In a cup, prepare the milk and oil mixture.
  • Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and pudding mix.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar on high speed for about 3 minutes.
  • Reduce mixer speed to medium and slowly add the milk and oil in a thin stream.
  • Lower the mixer speed to the lowest setting and gradually add the dry ingredients. Mix just enough to combine.
  • Fold in the diced apples using a spatula, then pour the batter into the prepared tray. Tap the tray 2-3 times on the work surface to remove air bubbles.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the surface is lightly browned. Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with a few crumbs.
  • Let cool and dust with powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

I used 3 medium apples, which together weighed 590 g before preparation.
