1 Baking sheet
1 mixing bowl
1 Sharp Knife
- 14 oz ground pork 400 g
- 2 rolls e.g. kaiser rolls
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- ⅕ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp sparkling water
Break the rolls into several pieces and soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes.
In the meantime, sauté the finely chopped onion and minced garlic in a little oil until translucent, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) while shaping the patties.
Squeeze the excess water out of the soaked rolls and place them in a mixing bowl with the ground pork, sautéed onion and garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and sparkling water.
Mix everything together well with your hands. Divide the mixture into 9 equal portions and shape them into patties.
Place the patties on a greased baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.
Serve hot and enjoy!
