Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 Grater
  • 1 Baking sheet or
  • 1 Non-Stick Skillet

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 yellow onion finely chopped
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 1 lb 500 g ground turkey
  • 1 tsp salt + ½ tsp salt for zucchini
  • 2 tsp sour cream
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 pinches of black pepper

Instructions

  • Grate the zucchini and sprinkle with ½ tsp salt. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes to release its water, then squeeze the zucchini with your hands to remove excess moisture.
  • Heat the oil in a pan over medium-high heat and sauté the finely chopped onion for about 5 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized. Set aside to cool.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, sautéed onion, grated zucchini, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix everything well.
  • Form 7-8 patties from the mixture, depending on the size you prefer.
  • To bake: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the patties on a greased baking sheet. Bake for about 35 minutes until golden brown.
  • To pan-fry: Heat a little oil in a skillet and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve hot with your choice of side or in a bun. Enjoy!
