Ingredients
  

  • 1.1 pounds asparagus trimmed and chopped into ½ inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 ¾ cups light cream
  • teaspoon salt
  • Fresh ground pepper to taste
  • ½ lemon Juice and zest
  • 10.5 ounces pasta

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a deep skillet over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden, about 1-2 minutes—be careful not to let it brown too quickly.
  • Increase heat to medium, add asparagus, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook pasta in a pot of salted boiling water according to package directions.
  • To the skillet, add cooking cream, lemon juice, and zest. Cook over low heat for another 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Drain pasta and mix it into the asparagus and cream sauce. Serve warm.
