Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 Sharp Knife
  • 1 medium-sized pot
  • 1 Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces chicken breast
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder (to season the chicken)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.35 ounce butter (1 tbsp)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 5.3 ounces gorgonzola cheese
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 17.6 ounces potato gnocchi

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:

  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Prep the Garlic:

  • Finely chop or grate the garlic cloves.

Cook the Chicken:

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  • Add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet.
  • Spread the chicken out so it's in a single layer.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned on one side.
  • Flip the chicken pieces and cook for another 4 minutes until fully cooked.

Prepare the Gorgonzola:

  • While the chicken is cooking, cut the gorgonzola cheese into small cubes.
  • Remove any rind, as it is not edible.

Make the Sauce:

  • Pour the heavy cream into the skillet with the chicken.
  • Add the gorgonzola cubes.
  • Season with freshly ground black pepper.
  • Stir everything together and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
  • Note: There's no need to add extra salt to the sauce, as the gorgonzola is quite salty.

Cook the Gnocchi:

  • While the sauce is simmering, cook the gnocchi in a separate pot of lightly salted boiling water according to package instructions.
  • Drain the gnocchi once they float to the surface.

Combine and Serve:

  • Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet with the sauce.
  • Gently stir to coat the gnocchi with the creamy sauce.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
