Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 meat mallet

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken cutlets
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano (for seasoning the chicken)
  • 3.5 oz herb cream cheese
  • 6 slices cooked ham
  • 6 slices cheese like Edamer or Gouda
  • 3.5 oz bacon thinly sliced

Instructions

  • Start by heating your oven to 400°F. This ensures it’s ready by the time you've prepped your roll ups.
  • Season the chicken cutlets with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano. Then, gently pound them between two pieces of plastic wrap to even out the thickness.
  • Spread herb cream cheese over each cutlet. Top with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese, then carefully roll them up.
  • Wrap each chicken roll with bacon and secure with a toothpick at the bottom.
  • Place the roll ups on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover lightly with aluminum foil to prevent burning and retain moisture. Bake covered for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Enjoy your bacon chicken roll ups warm, paired with a side of your choice.
